The 2022 Guangdong & Macao Branded Products Fair (GMBPF) is slated to be held from July 29-31, with interested companies able to register until June 2, the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) said in a statement yesterday.

According to the statement, the fair will encourage the participation of eligible local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) at a discounted fee of 680 patacas. Eligible local SMEs that “have been registered with the Financial Services Bureau for at least one year, with at least 50 percent of the shares or the controlling interest of the company owned by Macau residents” can participate in the fair at “an anti-epidemic special price” of 680 patacas, the statement noted.

The fair, the statement underlined, will continue to be held online and offline, and premium products from Guangdong and Macau will be presented, while business matching services will also be enhanced. A variety of industries will be covered in the fair such as food and beverages, big health, and  Belt and Road (B&R) specialties.

Moreover, the statement pointed out that enterprises with “made in Macao”, “Macao brands” products, Portuguese-speaking countries’ product agents, Macao Ideas enterprises – The Macao Products Display Centre and the Portuguese-speaking Countries Food Products Exhibition Centre – will be given priority to participate.

The fair will be held in Hall A at the Venetian Macao and is organised by IPIM and the Department of Commerce of Guangdong province. Those interested can register online at macaomice.ipim.gov.mo, while in-person submissions or submissions through representatives can be made on the 4th floor of the World Trade Centre, 918 Avenida da Amizade, the statement underlined.

The statement said that further information can be obtained by calling the event’s hotline on 8798 9636, and if the number of applicants exceeds availability, a ballot will be conducted.
