The Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) said in a statement yesterday that it will continue to organise its parent-child workshops for young families.
The statement noted that 12 sessions of “Young Family Club – Children’s Fun Time” workshops were hosted by the bureau’s Youth Experimentation Centre from February to April, and featured storytelling by instructors and themed activities.
The free workshops are set to take place on Saturdays from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and will be held in Cantonese, Putonghua, English and Portuguese, the statement said. The workshops, which can host 12 families each, are aimed at children aged 3 to 12 and their parents, the statement added.
For online sign-ups, one can log on to the bureau’s website at www.dsedj.gov.mo and select “Inquiry / Sign-up for Activities”.
The statement underlined that in-person sign ups can be done at the centre in Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion, which is open from 12 noon to 10 p.m. from Mondays to Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
Application forms, the statement pointed out, can be downloaded from the bureau’s website. If the quotas are exceeded, allocation of places will be determined by lucky draw, with winners to be notified via SMS.
Workshop details can be found on the website or by calling 2833 2084.
Moreover, the statement underlined that starting from July, activity participants in the bureau’s centres must, on the first day of participation, show instructors proof of vaccination against the COVID-19 pandemic with two jabs within 14 days prior to the respective activity, indicated on the Macau Health Code with a gold frame, or a negative self-paid nucleic acid (NAT) test result issued within seven days prior to each event.
