More facilities close amid outbreak

More entities have announced in separate statements the closure or suspension of services and facilities amid the current COVID-19 outbreak in Macau. 


Science Centre closed until further notice

The Macau Science Centre announced on Sunday that it will be temporarily closed until further notice, adding that its reopening date will be announced at a later time.

Local football association suspends operation

Meanwhile, the Macau Football Association (MFA)  said that its facilities are suspended. Competition information will be announced at a later date, while further enquiries can be made by emailing competition.macaufa@gmail.com or general enquiries at internationalrelations.macaufa@gmail.com.

Macao Water’s Customer Service Centre suspends operations

Utility Macao Water announced on Sunday that its Customer Service Centre in Ilha Verde is suspended. The statement said no late surcharge will be levied or water supply will be suspended due to non-payment if customers fail to pay their bills today.

Moreover, meter readings have been suspended, while “water charges of the affected customers will be calculated based on estimated consumption”. The company urged customers to pay online using Macao Water’s WeChat service or other e-payment channels.

Meanwhile, the utility said that its regular water supply,  Customer Hotline and emergency services will be maintained. The latest service arrangements will be announced on www.macaowater.com, the company’s WeChat official account, Facebook page and through the media. Enquiries can be made on 2822 0088.
