More services suspended through Friday

More companies have issued separate statements announcing suspended services through Friday amid Macau’s ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation.

CTM shops remain closed in line with COVID-19 measures

Telecommunications company CTM announced that all but three of its shops will be closed until Friday, with the three shops offering emergency services.

According to the statement, the CTM Praia Flagship, NAPE Shop and Taipa Shop will provide “limited emergency services”, with their opening hours being 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Disinfection and cleaning, the statement noted, will be carried out in the shops at noon. Moreover, onsite installations and non-essential maintenance services remain suspended.

Meanwhile, the company urged its customers to stay at home in line with the government’s measures, noting that telecom services will not be suspended for overdue payments, the statement pointed out.

The statement added that the use of the CTM Buddy Mobile App or online portal for service subscription are recommended for customers.

Macao Water Customer Service Centre still suspended

Meanwhile, utility Macao Water said that its Customer Service Centre in Ilha Verde will continue to be suspended through Friday.

The statement advised customers to pay online using the company’s WeChat service or electronic services in of the “Macao One Account” app, e-banking and other e-payment channels.

No late surcharge or suspension of water services will be carried out owing to non-payment if customers cannot make bill payments during the period. The statement noted that meter reading will also be suspended, with the affected customers’ water charges being calculated based on estimated consumption.

Meanwhile, the statement said that the company will continue to conduct water tests and maintain both Customer Hotline and emergency services.
