The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre requested all people in Macau in a statement last night to take a rapid antigen test again today.

It is the third time that the public have been requested to self-test for COVID-19 since the latest outbreak of the novel coronavirus last Saturday and two citywide mass nucleic acid testing (NAT) drives.

For more information on the procedures of the rapid antigen test (self-test), declaration of the test result and notes on its usage, the centre urged the public to refer to https://www.ssm.gov.mo/apps1/covidagtest/ch.aspx#clg21987

According to the centre, the public should follow the procedures in the instructions for the rapid antigen test, carry out the self-test, check the result and declare it through the Declaration Platform of Rapid Antigen Test Results (https://app.ssm.gov.mo/generalrat/) at the bottom of the home page of their Macau Health Code.

The centre pointed out that if the self-test result is positive, in addition to declaring it through one's Health Code, one should call an ambulance by phoning 119, 120 or 2857 2222 to be taken to the public Conde de São Januário Hospital for a nucleic acid test as soon as possible, regardless of whether one has a fever or respiratory symptoms.

In addition, if one has a positive self-test result, the person concerned and the people living with him or her are not allowed to go out. A nucleic acid test will be arranged for all of them by the health authorities, the centre stressed.

The tally of Macau's current COVID-19 outbreak rose to 170 yesterday, according to the Health Bureau (SSM).

The outbreak's first case was detected last Saturday.

Macau's COVID-19 tally of confirmed cases since January 2020 stood at 125 last night, while there were 332 asymptomatic cases. A total of 83 of the confirmed and 202 of the asymptomatic cases have recovered, the bureau said.

No COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Macau.

Macau confirmed its first novel coronavirus case on January 22, 2020.
