The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre urged the public in a statement yesterday to correctly fill in their address on the rapid antigen test (RAT – self-test) reporting platform.
The statement underlined that a door-to-door nucleic acid test (NAT) sample collection for people who tested positive in mixed samples will be provided by mobile sampling teams only when its members can confirm the respective person’s permanent address or temporary location reported on their RAT reporting platform.
Since everyone in Macau is required to do his or her own RAT before having their NAT, the centre urged people to provide details of their permanent address or temporary location (such as a hotel) when declaring their RAT results.
The statement underlined that if the sampling team fails to confirm the individuals’ location due to an incomplete address on the platform, the police will then look for the respective individual.
Once the police have located the person, he or she will then be taken to the Community Treatment Centre at Macau East Asian Games Dome by ambulance to undergo a nucleic acid test, after which they will have to wait for the result.
