The Health Bureau (SSM) reaffirmed in a statement yesterday that people who need to visit hospitals, such as the public Conde de São Januário Hospital Centre, the private Kiang Wu hospitals in the peninsula and Taipa, and the University Hospital run by the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) in Taipa can show their appointment slip or their appointment reminder in a text message to get a bus.
The statement noted that people who need to have regular medical services at these hospitals, such as cancer patients, can show their appointment slip, appointment reminder, or electronic appointment voucher via their Macao One Account to the bus driver when boarding the bus on the way to the hospitals, during the government’s special COVID-19 prevention and control measures from today through Friday.
The statement underlined that emergency patients who need to get the bus but do not have an appointment slip can contact the public hospital by calling 8390 3600, or contact the private Kiang Wu Hospital by calling 8295 0123 on the Macau peninsula or 8295 4017 for Taipa, for an emergency appointment confirmation by text message. The statement added that the patients can show the text message to the bus driver to use the public transport. The statement underlined that the text message will be valid for two hours.
Each patient can be accompanied by one family member on their way to the hospital by bus, according to the statement.
The statement said that the patients can also show their appointment slip, text message, or certificate of attendance to the bus driver when returning home.
Enquiries can be made to the public hospital’s Patient Relations Office by calling 8390 5000 or contacting the private Kiang Wu Hospital on phone numbers 8295 0123 in the Macau peninsula while calling 8295 4017 for Taipa or calling MUST’s University Hospital on 2882 1832, during office hours.
