Hotel guests rise 8.8 pct to 4.5 million in Jan-April
Macau’s 115 hotels and guesthouses recorded 4.5 million guests in the first four months of the year, a year-on-year increase of 8.8 percent, the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) announced yesterday.The average occupancy rate rose by 4.7 percentage points to 88.9 percent. Guests’ average length of stay went up by 0.1 night to 1.5 nights. The hospitality industry’s number of guest rooms grew by 6 percent to 39,000, with 5-star hotel rooms rising by 7.9 percent to 24,000, accounting for
