Hospitals’ inpatients rise 3.9 pct to 62,000 last year
Macau’s five hospitals provided a total of 1,628 in-patient beds last year, up by 24 year-on-year, while their number of inpatients rose 3.9 percent to 62,000, with the average hospital stay up by 0.2 day to 7.4 days, the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) announced yesterday.The occupancy rate of in-patient beds grew 3.9 percentage points to 78.3 percent.Outpatient attendance rose 5.8 percent to 1.89 million, of which consultations in Internal Medicine (312,000) accounted for 16.5 percent,
