Macau Chamber of Commerce President Kou Hoi In yesterday urged the city’s small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to make use of the various financial products provided by local banks, to help their business expand.
Kou made the comments while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a seminar on how the local financial sector can help the development of SMEs, at the Macau Chamber of Commerce in Zape.
According to Kou, the major difficulties local SMEs are facing in financing their operations and the expansion of their businesses, such as by obtaining loans from local banks, are that they are family-owned and run.
