Tropical Storm Mulan has spared Macau.
The local weather bureau replaced the Tropical Storm Signal No.8 with the Strong Wind Signal No.3 at 1 p.m. today. It had hoisted Signal No.8 at 7 a.m. when it replaced Signal No.3 which had been hoisted at 11:30 a.m. yesterday.
No major damage has been reported.
Government offices reopened at 2:30 p.m. but banks remain closed today. Public transport has meanwhile been resumed. All storm surge warnings have been cancelled.
However, the observatory warned that Tropical Cyclone Mulan's rainband will still affect Macau, forecasting heavy rain and thunderstorms for today.
