The creations of eight artists focused on comics, cartoons and animation are on display at the Rui Cunha Foundation (FRC) gallery at the “Association of Promoting Macau Comics and Animation Cultural Exchange Members’ Works Exhibition 2022”.
The exhibition runs until Saturday.
According to a statement by the foundation, around 30 works are on display. The artists comprise six local amateur artists: Vincent Ho, Wing Mo , Greymon Chan, Z, Nasu, and ST. Moreover, they are joined by renowned Japanese cartoonist Hiroshi Kanatani, and Leung Wai Ka, a professional cartoonist in Hong Kong, the statement said.
Created in 2014, the statement noted that the Association of Promoting Macau Comics and Animation Cultural Exchange aims “to support the professional development of the industry, technical exchanges and cooperation between local and overseas illustrators” with a view of enabling more high-quality and large-scale projects. It also aims to enable publications, lectures and other activities that benefit the local community, the statement pointed out.
The gallery is open from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., and on Saturdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. It is closed on Sundays and public holidays. Admission is free.
