A 67-year-old local woman was confirmed dead after “falling” from a building on Avenida do Conselheiro Borja yesterday morning, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Chan Wu Man said in a statement.
According to the statement, the Judiciary Police (PJ) were notified by the Public Security Police (PSP) at about 11 a.m. that a resident from the same building found a person lying on the building’s 3rd floor podium, after which he or she immediately reported the case to the police.
The statement said that the victim’s family told the police that the woman, who lived in a flat in the building, did not show any abnormalities when her family left the flat for work at 8 a.m. yesterday. The victim’s family was informed by the police at about 11 a.m. that the victim had died after falling from a height.
According to a preliminary examination of the body, the deceased sustained multiple abrasions and fractures, which were caused by “falling from a height”, but the exact cause of death could only be confirmed by a forensic examination, the statement noted.
No suicide note was found at the scene, according to the statement.
