The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) has launched 20 products inspired by its museums’ collection of artefacts which are sold in different locations, the bureau said in a statement yesterday.
The statement noted that the Macao Museum of Art (MAM) and the Macao Museum have accumulated a range of cultural relics and artworks over the years because of the city’s history and cultural background due to its fusion of Chinese and Western cultures. The products on sale, the statement pointed out, are 10 adult facemasks, four children’s facemasks and two umbrellas, all of which were designed from six selected exhibits from the two museums to “add cultural appeal to everyday life amid the pandemic”.
Moreover, four 3D postcards inspired by the Museum of Taipa and Coloane History, Carmo Fair, Our Lady of Carmel Church and Taipa Houses have been launched, showcasing the characteristics of historical buildings in Taipa, according to the statement.
The statement said that the products can be bought at the MAM Gift Shop and from the vending machines located at the Macao Museum, Handover Gifts Museum of Macao, Museum of Taipa and Coloane History, and Taipa Library.
Product specifications and details can be found at www.macaumuseum.gov.mo and www.mam.gov.mo.
