Albergue SCM said in a statement yesterday that the 1st Albergue Lusophone Market is slated to be held this weekend from 12:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The event, the statement noted, is organised by Albergue in conjunction with Sardinia Macau and Portuguese Restaurants & Retail Concepts (PRRC). It will be held at Albergue SCM’s patio at 8 Calçada da Igreja de São Lázaro, and is set to feature around 20 booths.
The statement added that there will be exhibitors from Portuguese-speaking countries such as Portugal, Brazil and Timor-Leste (East Timor), all of which will promote their countries products such as ceramics, handicrafts, soaps, fragrances, decorations, and a selection of gourmet products, among others.

The term Lusophone refers to the world’s Portuguese-speaking countries and communities. Portugal is a former Roman province called Lusitania.
Albergue is Portuguese for “hospice”.
