A statement by the Macau Customs Service (SA) yesterday said that in order to continuously enhance public awareness of intellectual property (IP) protection, it is hosting an online quiz competition entitled “Protect Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)”, which will be held from 10 a.m. this Friday to 5 p.m. on September 30 for all local residents.

According to the statement, residents can visit the Macau Customs Service website’s game page https://eservice.customs.gov.mo/iprcompetition/quizinfo to participate in the online competition. Questions about “copyright and related rights” and “industrial property rights law” systems, the content of the Customs Service website’s Intellectual Property Rights Corner, as well as questions on how to avoid buying infringing products online, will be asked during the competition.

The statement noted that participants who correctly answer all 10 multiple choice questions may receive a gift pack from the Customs Service after filling in their personal information. The statement pointed out that extra presents of a telescopic umbrella and a reusable shopping bag will be given to the first 100 residents who answer all the questions correctly.

The list of winners will be uploaded to the Customs Service website www.customs.gov.mo on October 14, the statement said, adding that the winners will also be notified via text message.
