Melco Resorts & Entertainment said in a statement yesterday that members of its management and volunteer teams spent an afternoon with the residents of the Pou Tai Integrated Service Centre for the Elderly at a Mid-Autumn Festival-themed carnival last week, with activities including game booths and festive goodies.
According to the statement, several Melco management executives were present at the event, including Chief Advisor Kent Wong and Senior Vice President and Altira and Mocha Clubs Property General Manager Raymond Lo. They were met by the chairman of the Management Committee of the Pou Tai Social Service Building, Master Shi Sum Wai; director of the Pou Tai Integrated Service Centre for the Elderly, Hung Oi Ming, among others.
The resort operator noted that 220 volunteers have devoted 750 hours to the local community through festive activities celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival with the community.
Moreover, as part of its Simple Acts of Kindness 2.0 initiatives, the statement said that the company’s volunteers have been participating in mooncake and festive lantern making workshops and gatherings for children, their parents and elderly beneficiaries of the Macau Federation of Trade Unions (FAOM), Macau Autism Association, Pou Tai Elderly Integrated Service Centre, and FAOM Ka Ao Nursery Home.
Volunteers also teamed up with FAOM youth members for visits to local seniors to clean up their living environments ahead of the holiday, the statement added.
