These photos were taken during the September 15-20 visit by a delegation of Macau’s English- and Portuguese-language media to Xinjiang. Apart from the regional capital Urumqi, the 11 journalists also visited the cities of Karamay and Tacheng as well as a cotton plantation. The trip was organised by the Macau-based Foreign Ministry Commission in conjunction with Xinjiang’s External Affairs Office. The delegation was overwhelmed by Xinjiang’s natural beauty, its delicious cuisine and the warmhearted hospitality of its people.
