The Manor at The St. Regis Macao will present a special event called “The Connoisseur’s Table – The Macallan Whisky Dinner with Edrington” tonight, the resort operator said in a statement yesterday.

According to the statement, the one-night event is part of the recurring dinner series, The Connoisseur’s Table. The Manor, in cooperation with The Macallan’s parent company Edrington, will showcase a selection of their premium single malt whiskies paired with a menu crafted by Executive Sous Chef Michele Dell’Aquila.

Guests will enjoy a five-course dinner, while four bottles from The Macallan range will be highlighted during the event led by “Whisky Ambassador”, Bruno Santos.

The statement underlined that the menu highlights include the smoked Hokkaido sea scallop tartar, marinated with sea salt and cushioned with a cauliflower and almond milk panna cotta, complementing The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years old, adding a layer of dried fruit and smooth texture to the flavour.

A notable main, according to the statement, is the Challandais duck with caramelised onion and visciole sauce. A sweet and sour cherry sauce combined with chocolate enriches the duck and reduces the oiliness. This combination of the sauce and The Macallan Double Cask 18 Years old’s chocolate and butterscotch aromas adds a scrumptious touch to the dish, the statement said.

Meanwhile, Chef Michele has created the Sacher Domori 72 percent Venezuela, which comprises coffee and whisky sabayon, garnished with caramelia ice cream, and chocolate sauce, to conclude the whiskey experience. The dessert is paired with The Macallan Rare Cask 2022, Macallan’s latest release. It is also new to the Macau market, the statement added.

Tonight’s event will take place from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Meanwhile, the statement said that guests who want to try The Macallan Whisky Dinner menu at The Manor can do so until October 9, adding that the event and limited-time dinner menu are priced at 1,888 patacas per person.
