Several members of the government-appointed Urban Planning Council yesterday rejected the government’s proposal to turn the Old Courthouse in Nam Van into the city’s new central library.
While they agreed that a new central library is needed in Macau, they questioned whether it is the right location for it.
Several councillors made their opposition known during a regular meeting of the council.
