Companhia de Serviços de Radio Taxi Macau S.A. Chairman Cheong Chi Man said yesterday that the service his company will provide “must be better” than that of Uber, pledging that it won’t fail like the “yellow taxi” business which went belly up a few years ago.
Cheong made the upbeat remarks during a press conference which was held on the premises of Macau Juventude International Travel Limited, a company also headed by Cheong, at Macau Finance Centre in Zape.
According to a statement by the Transport Bureau (DSAT) yesterday, Cheong’s company was the successful bidder for a licence to operate up to 100 special radio taxis.
