The Macau Monetary Authority (AMCM) warned in a statement on Monday that three companies – Unimall International Group (Macao) Company Limited, Zong Yang International Consultancy (Macau) Limited, and PAIKE International Company Limited – have never been licensed to engage in insurance intermediary business in Macau.
The statement stressed that only an authorised entity can conduct insurance intermediary business here.
The regulator urged the public to obtain legal insurance products and services via licensed insurance companies or insurance intermediaries to avoid being cheated and lose money unnecessarily.
According to the statement, members of the public can check the list of authorised insurance companies and insurance intermediaries via the AMCM website: https://www.amcm.gov.mo/en/insurance-sector/authorised-insurers and https://www.amcm.gov.mo/zh/insurance-sector/authorised-insurance-intermediaries.
