The government should help the elderly get around easier and raise old-age allowances and pensions, the Macau Carers Association said yesterday on the sidelines of a press conference about the findings of a survey.
According to a statement by the association, the purpose of the survey was to investigate the types of pressure carers have to cope with, and to understand their needs.
The press conference was held at the community service centre of the Macau General Union of Neighbourhood Associations (commonly known as Kai Fong) in Toi San district.
