The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) said in a statement that it has activated a coordination mechanism with the Macau Residue System Company Ltd. (CSR) and cleaning contractors to arrange for more staff to conduct large-scale disinfection work in Weng Heng Building in Fai Chi Kei district where a COVID-19 infection was confirmed earlier in the day.
According to the statement, the building where the infectee lives, its communal areas and nearby streets were among the areas that were immediately disinfected due to Macau’s latest COVID-19 case, in line with the government’s pandemic prevention work aimed at reducing the risk of the virus spreading in the community.
