Members of the Fa Seng Hong Tou Wai Yip Condominium Owners Association yesterday criticised lawmaker Fong Chi Keong for hiring workers to forcibly remove electronic advertising boards that the association had put up on the wall on the ground floor of the condominium.

The association said that the communal area of a residential building – including the communal area on the ground floor – was owned by all flat owners, not only the owners of the shops on the ground floor, although Fong claimed otherwise.

“Fa Seng” is the Cantonese transliteration of “Flower City”, is a number of blocks in an estate in Taipa. “Hong Tou Wai Yip” refers to the four blocks in the estate.
