Sports Bureau axes weekend Grand Prix carnival

The 69th Macau Grand Prix – Family Carnival that was slated to take place this weekend in Praça do Tap Seac has been cancelled to comply with the government’s COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control measures, according to a Sports Bureau (ID) statement yesterday.

The Macau Grand Prix Organising Committee (MGPOC), the statement noted, has made the decision to cancel the carnival after serious consideration and the changes in the COVID-19 situation in Macau, thanking members of the public for their support.

Meanwhile, race details for the Grand Prix can be found at www.macau.grandprix.gov.mo, as well as through dedicated mobile apps or by accessing the “Macao Major Sporting Events” Facebook page, “澳門體育” (Macao Sports) WeChat public account and “澳門特區體育局” (Macao SAR Sports Bureau) WeChat subscription account.
