The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre announced in a statement yesterday that from next Wednesday members of the public must update their “usual” local place of residence on their Macau Health Code, adding that the option of “allowing the Health Bureau (SSM) to retrieve their registered address from the Identification Services Bureau (DSI)” will be removed.

The statement pointed out that some residents’ Macau Health Code has changed to the red or yellow code as they did not update their place of residence in Macau with the Identification Services Bureau in advance, so the option will be removed from the Macau Health Code next Wednesday.

The statement noted that the Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) will provide assistance to persons in need to update and input information on their place of permanent residence in Macau at its centres.
