The Chinese Cultural Exchange Association (CCEA) held its 2022 Celebrity Public Seminar on Chinese Traditional Culture and Political Ethics yesterday at the one-day seminar’s main venue at Hou Kong Middle School and five sub-venues, the Macau Women’s General Association’s headquarters, Pui Ching Middle School, Keang Peng School, Sheng Kung Hui Choi Kou School (Macau), and Tung Sin Tong Secondary School.
The association invited Prof. Wang Jie from the Philosophy Department of the Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) to deliver an online lecture, which was attended by over 540 people, comprising students, teachers and others interested in the subject.
The prestigious Party School was previously known as the National Academy of Governance.
CCEA President Steven Lei Pui Lam told the media on the sidelines of the seminar that it was one of the association’s “brand activities” that has been held for 17 years, aiming to invite leaders in various fields to share their successes and their life experiences with members of the public, so as to deepen the understanding of people from all walks of life in cultural, economic and social fields, while fostering multi-cultural and cross-cultural exchanges.
Lei also said that his association hoped that the seminar was able to open up the audience’s horizons, enlighten their thinking, and gain a deeper and broader understanding and perception of its theme.
