Govt to amend consumer protection law

The government has finished drafting a bill on proposed amendments to the law on consumer rights protection, Economics Services Bureau (DSE) Director Tai Kin Ip said yesterday.

Tai made the remarks when speaking to reporters before attending a seminar titled ‘Competition Law and Anti-Monopoly Law in the Mainland’. The seminar, hosted by the bureau, was held yesterday at the bureau in Nam Van.

The bureau invited two law scholars from the mainland to give presentations about the competition law and anti-monopoly law in the mainland.
