Gaming and resort operator MGM said in a statement that it donated 600,000 patacas on Wednesday to support the Macau Tung Sing Tong Charitable Society’s annual fundraising campaign, thereby supporting the organisation for the 15th consecutive year and contributing an accumulated 7.2 million patacas.
According to the statement, a cheque presentation took place on Wednesday at MGM Macau. MGM China Holdings Limited Co-chairperson and Executive Director Pansy Ho Chiu-King and President, Chief Strategic & Financial Officer Kenneth Xiaofeng Feng, among others, presented the donation to the organisation’s delegation which included President of the Board of Directors José Chui Sai Peng and several directors, the statement said.
The statement quoted Ho as saying: “MGM is honoured to be their long-term partner and hopes to continue serving the community with Tung Sin Tong and many other community organisations, providing more diverse and beneficial community services to more people in need. Together, we are determined to carry out our ethos of ‘Building a Better Macau’.”
The event, the statement added, was concluded with a sharing session where ideas on local charity development and the community’s current needs were exchanged.
Meanwhile, the statement said that MGM organised an exclusive “Golden Lion Tour” earlier this year in celebration of Tung Sin Tong’s 130th anniversary. The one-day sightseeing tour of MGM COTAI and MGM MACAU was held for over 100 seniors from two of Tung Sing Tong’s elderly care centres, the statement noted.
