Macau businessman in talks to buy Portuguese media firm: report

Macau businessman Kevin Ho King Lun is in talks to buy a controlling stake in a major Portuguese media company, the Portuguese-language radio channel of government-owned broadcaster TDM reported yesterday. 

According to the report, Ho is currently in Portugal as a delegation member of the Macau Young Entrepreneurs Association which is on a fact-finding visit to the country. Ho told Radio Macau he was taking advantage of the visit to meet “relevant people” in his talks with Global Media Group. 

Global Media Group owns a number of media firms such as radio station TSF and two of the country’s major newspapers, Diario de Noticias in Lisbon and Jornal de Noticias in Porto, as well as daily sport newspaper O Jogo and several magazines.
