Resort and gaming operator Wynn Resorts said in a statement on Wednesday that it has donated 600,000 patacas in support of the “Walk for a Million” fundraising event organised by the Charity Fund from the Readers of Macao Daily News.
The statement noted that the company also encouraged its staff and their families to participate in next month’s charity walk to contribute to the event’s cause. A cheque presentation ceremony was held at Wynn Palace in Cotai, the statement said.
The ceremony was attended by President and Executive Director of Wynn Resorts (Macau) and Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau Linda Chen Chih-ling, and Wynn Macau Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director Frederic Luvisutto, among others, who presented a cheque to a delegation from the Charity Fund such as President Ho Teng Iat and Vice President Lok Po, according to the statement.
The statement said that the company cares about the community and has “a strong passion for supporting charities especially amid the [COVID-19] pandemic”.
The statement added that the gaming resort operator hopes to create enthusiasm among members of the public, encouraging everyone to continue supporting and taking part in charity fundraising initiatives.
