As tickets for the 69th Macau Grand Prix have been sold at a discount on online social media platforms, the Judiciary Police (PJ) yesterday urged members of the public not to scalp or peddle event tickets or coupons, as they may breach the law.

According to a PJ statement, the Judiciary Police also warned the public to avoid buying event tickets from unknown sources.

The statement underlined that event tickets should only be purchased through official channels. The statement added that when online shopping, people should be extremely careful and always choose a reputable website or online shopping platform for their shopping, while keeping all the respective chat and bank transfer records, as well as other materials.

The statement noted that if fraud or other kinds of crimes are suspected, people should call right away the Judiciary Police Anti-scam Hotline 8800 7777 or the Crime Report Hotline 993 for help.
