One of the guest speakers at yesterday’s Macau Forum, Andy Loi Man Keong, a vice-president of local think tank Collective Wisdom Policy Centre, urged the city’s six gaming operators to process more food waste produced by the many restaurants in the resorts they run, instead of just “dumping” it at the refuse incineration plant.

The weekly open-air debate is hosted by government-owned broadcaster TDM in Areia Preta Park every Sunday.

Yesterdays’ focus of the forum was on how the government should tackle the rising amount of refuse produced in the city.
