JW Marriott Macau offers Christmas dining experiences

JW Marriott Hotel Macau said in a statement yesterday that it has prepared holiday dining experiences and festive menus throughout December at Urban Kitchen and The Lounge.

Urban Kitchen, the statement noted, is introducing its Festive Dinner Buffet, which is available from December 1-23 and December 26-31. The statement said that it is headlined by “two holiday musts”, which are the Christmas Roasted Turkey, served with cranberry gravy, giblet sauce and stuffing; and the Glazed Canadian Pork Ham with Honey Orange, served with glazed winter Brussel sprouts, roasted chestnuts, and roasted pineapple.

The menu also features dishes such as Beef Cheek Bourguignon, which is to be served during the first half of December, while dishes including the Kanto Style Beef Sukiyaki will be available during the second half.

Meanwhile, on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, the statement said that the restaurant’s Christmas Dinner Buffet will feature fresh seafood, European gourmet classics and holiday staples, adding that tuna is the highlight where between December 24 to 25, a whole Yellowtail Tuna will be expertly cut in front of diners.

Other dishes range from oyster to Scandinavian salmon, and hot dishes such as the made to order Pan Seared Duck Liver, Irish Shepherd’s Pie, and the highlights Christmas Classic Roasted Turkey and the Glazed Canadian Pork Ham with Honey Orange. The meals are rounded off with authentic Christmas desserts including Christmas Stollen and Christmas Pudding.

The hot chocolate drink Sweet Sailor is “specially designed for our young patrons”, the statement added, while adults can get a free flow Glühwein (German for mulled wine), a classic hot winter drink with a blend of heated red wine and mulling spice.

The Festive Dinner Buffet is priced from 568-638 patacas per adult and 285-320 patacas per child. Moreover, the statement said that Macau residents, non-resident workers and Marriott Bonvoy members can get a 20 percent discount.

The Christmas Dinner Buffet, meanwhile, is priced at 988 patacas per person and includes a free flow of red and white wine, and 495 patacas for children. The statement said that guests get 20 percent off with full payment on or before December 20.

Meanwhile, at The Lounge, the statement noted that the four-course “A Very Merry Dinner” is available on December 24, 25 and 31. The menu starts with holiday-appropriate canapés and after a Seafood Platter, guests can enjoy the “pièce de resistance”, a 3-tier stand with Roasted Carved Angus Beef and Honey Glazed Ham with Condiments, and a Warm Pecan Pie.

The dinner is priced at 1,288 patacas for two and comes with a bottle of Perrier-Jouët Brand Brut NV Champagne.
