In celebration of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, a raft of promotions and offerings has been launched at Grand Lisboa Palace Macau (GLP) in Cotai and Grand Lisboa Macau and Jai Alai Oceanus on the peninsula, with the goal of promoting sports culture in Macau, according to a recent statement by SJM Resorts, S.A.
The statement said that from December 12-18 an “all-new limited-time” football game will be offered at Grand Lisboa Palace’s “Thrilling Discovery” Virtual Reality (VR) entertainment zone on the first level of The Bazar. The statement added that challengers can compete in the game’s leaderboard for the chance to win a prize, with the top three contestants receiving a 1,000-pataca GLP dining voucher.
The statement noted that during the seven days, guests will be able to enjoy live telecasts of the World Cup on GLP Café’s second level and in VIP rooms, where a Special Chef’s Recommendation Snack Menu, offering tasty titbits priced at 68 patacas each and a buy-one-get-one-free promotion on select beers, and additional drink offers, including a beer tower for 218 patacas, and a special package for bottled whisky and mixers will also be offered during the week, while “A Food & Beverage Set Menu” priced at 488 patacas for four self-selected snacks and six beers from selected labels will be available for the quarter-final, semi-final, and final matches of the World Cup.
According to the statement, the Round-The-Clock Coffee Shop at Grand Lisboa Macau will set up a large-screen to livestream for their guests to enjoy the finals of the World Cup on December 18, when the restaurant will offer limited-time food and beverage options, including a snack buffet and free-flowing beer or soft drinks for 220 patacas per person from 10 p.m. until the final whistle.
In order to commemorate the top eight teams in the championships, the statement said, a special 24-hour broadcast zone has been set up at Jai Alai Oceanus’s Kingpin Bar, where guests can enjoy matches and a limited-time food platter with two glasses of beer at a special price of 68 patacas from December 9-18. The statement added that the guests may also try their luck by voting for their World Cup winner, with correct guesses having the chance to win prizes.
