The Judiciary Police (PJ) received a report from the Fire Services Bureau (CB) yesterday at 11:40 a.m. that a man was believed to have committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree at the Hac Sa Reservoir Fitness Walk, the Judiciary Police (PJ) said in a statement.
The deceased was a 51-year-old mainlander surnamed Feng.
According to the statement, a man found Feng hanging from the tree and immediately informed a security guard at the Hac Sa Reservoir. Paramedics rushed to the scene and confirmed that Feng was dead.
According to the statement, PJ officers saw marks on Feng’s neck, and confirmed that the marks matched the rope that he had used to hang himself.
No suicide note was found at the scene, the statement said.
The statement said that a post-mortem will be performed.
