The Pharmaceutical Supervision and Administration Bureau (ISAF) said in a statement yesterday that it is recalling the obesity prescription drug “Orlistat Cap 120 mg”, produced by Sentai Pharmaceutical Industrial Company Limited in Taiwan.
According to the statement, through its regular spot checks on drugs in the local market, the bureau found that the weight of the prescription drug, which was imported from Taiwan, with batch number 0100701, did not meet the stated quality standard.
The statement underlined that the problematic batch of the drug was only supplied to local pharmacies.
