Sirens will wail in Macau this morning in homage to former president Jiang Zemin, the Unitary Police Service (SPU) said in a statement yesterday.
According to the statement, the sirens will wail for three minutes during the memorial meeting paying tribute to Jiang in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, which will begin at 10 a.m. The memorial will be telecast live by public broadcaster TDM.
The sirens are located on hill tops, namely Guia Lighthouse, Taipa Grande Hill, Coloane Peak, and the Public Security Forces Academy in Coloane Village.
