The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) said in a statement yesterday that with the aim of enabling residents and visitors to better identify the city’s heritage buildings, while also enhancing public awareness of protection of those buildings, it will soon put up plaques at over 600 local heritage buildings.
According to the statement, over 600 buildings have been assessed as Classified Immovable Properties among 159 listed items, which are of various types and sizes.
The statement noted that the bureau has been gradually putting up plaques at the over 600 heritage buildings, consisting of a brown metallic plate with the inscription “Macau Cultural Heritage” in Portuguese and Chinese, and their respective classified heritage property code.
