In order to further facilitate the treatment needs for COVID-19 infectees with mild symptoms to seek medical consultations at the city’s hospitals during the night, the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre said in a statement on Friday that it has optimised the service for community outpatients by adding a telephone consultation with “Western-medicine physicians”, with operating hours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., to the government’s “Platform for Self-Assessment and Community Outpatient Appointment for COVID-19 Patients”.
The statement pointed out that residents who have positive nucleic acid test (NAT) or rapid antigen test (RAT) results can conduct a self-assessment through the government’s platform at https://eservice.ssm.gov.mo/covid19positivebook. Afterwards, the statement added, those who select to make an appointment with “Western-medicine physicians” can then choose the “telephone consultation” or “community outpatient” options.
After making an appointment for their telephone consultation, the statement said, the system will generate an appointment number for recording and archiving. The statement added that a doctor will then call the service users within the period chosen in the appointment after confirming their name and the last four digits of the appointment number.
After the medical consultation, the statement noted, the service users will be sent a text message to collect their medicines between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. from any of the community outpatient facilities, or between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. from the former dog-racing track in Fai Chi Kei, Rotunda do Estádio in Taipa, or the Coloane Temporary Health Station in Seac Pai Van.
If the collection of medicines is carried out by a representative, he or she must show his or her original identity card, as well as the identity card of the person who requested the consultation and the image capture of the Macau health code of that person, the statement underlined, which added that non-resident workers (NRWs) and tourists need to pay for the medicines upon collection.
