Local residents aged at least 50 will be eligible for a free seasonal influenza vaccination later this year, the Health Bureau (SSM) said in a statement yesterday.
The minimum age for local residents to be eligible for the free vaccination will be lowered to 50 from 60, the statement said.
To provide better flu protection to children as well as middle-aged and elderly citizens, the bureau will enlarge the group of recipients of the free vaccination, the statement said.
