An ad-hoc group consisting of members of several property management committees yesterday opposed an article in a government-draft bill regulating the management of the common areas of residential buildings.

The article states that property management committee members should be held responsible for jeopardising condominium owners’ interests if they wrongly implemented decisions made at the owners’ general meetings.

Mok Kam Heng, the convener of the ad hoc group, spoke to reporters after he and several members of his group held a meeting with officials from the Legal Affairs Bureau (DSAJ) at the Public Administration Building in Rua do Campo.
