Air Macau said in a recent statement that its flights to Da Nang, the largest port in central Vietnam, from Macau will be resumed on March 2, adding that it will launch scheduled flights to Singapore on March 23.
According to the statement, starting from March 26, nine round-trip flights will be provided every week covering four destinations comprising Hanoi, Da Nang, Bangkok and Singapore, which will be gradually increased depending on the destination market conditions and ground support capabilities.
As Taiwan has restarted individual tours for Hong Kong and Macau residents to the island, starting from March 1, the Taipei route will be gradually increased to one flight per day, while the Kaohsiung route will be increased to four flights a week, i.e., there will be 11 round-trip flights per week on the Taiwan route.
As the Japanese government is expected to lift COVID-19 travelling restrictions on flights from Macau and the Chinese mainland, and post-quarantine measures on passengers entering the country, the statement said, Air Macau will expand flights to Tokyo to two flights a week in early March and resume flights to Osaka with initially two flights a week. The number of flights to Seoul will be increased to two per week.
Flights to Hanoi, Tokyo, Bangkok, Seoul and Kaohsiung were resumed by the airline from October 12 and 13 last year, and from January 16, 22 and February 5 respectively.
