Banning off-duty dealers (croupiers) from gambling in local casinos would be good for their physical and mental wellbeing, SJM CEO Ambrose So Shu Fai said yesterday.
So made the comments while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the gaming operator’s National Day cocktail reception with its staff held at Macau Tower.
“It [the proposed ban] is actually a good thing, we do not wish that they gamble,” So said in response to the government’s initiative to study whether to ban dealers from gambling in local casinos. “If they win, they won’t be in the mood for work and if they lose, they also won’t be in the mood for work,” the gaming executive said.
