This week’s trade co-operation forum held in Macau will help communication between China and Portuguese-speaking countries (PSCs), and bring more opportunities for those countries, the Brazilian trade minister said yesterday.
He made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the 5th Ministerial Conference of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and PSCs.
Brazilian Minister of Industry, Trade and Services Marcos Pereira said Macau is a city where eastern and western cultures blend together, and the conference held in Macau showed their common values and ideals. “I strongly believe this meeting will boost the exchange of experiences among governments and institutions and promote trade and investment among those countries,” he added.
Pereira said Brazil was now in the key stage of economic transition, with many macro-economic policies to be adjusted. “We have overcome a political crisis and are working hard to recover our economic growth,” he added.
