Sands Resorts Macao has been participating in the “Experience Macao Unlimited - Macao Promotion in Lisbon” tourism promotion event running from last Saturday until tomorrow, according to a recent statement by the resort operator.
The statement noted that the event, which has been organised by the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO), aims to highlight new Macau travel experiences to spark Portuguese interest in visiting the city as a “multi-destination travel” option, while further expanding the city’s international tourist source market, and promoting the recovery of Macau’s tourism economy.
The statement said that during the event, Sands Resorts Macao, which comprises three interconnected integrated resorts, namely The Venetian Macao, The Parisian Macao and The Londoner Macao, offers hotel packages at its booth inspired by Macau’s Portuguese-style architecture, drawing guests from Portugal to visit the resorts and create “brand-new holiday experiences in a city known for its vibrant mix of cultures”.
The statement quoted Sands China President Wilfred Wong Ying-Wai as saying: “Through multiple activities and channels, we aim to raise Macau’s profile, arouse customer interest in Macau as a leading travel destination, and tap the potential of the Portuguese market”, adding that the participation of the resort operator in the event reflects its unreserved efforts to support MGTO’s varied initiatives to diversify visitor source markets geared toward tourism and economic revival, and promote Macau as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.
