The works of 27 artists are being showcased in the ‘YEAR ONE Exhibition’ at Amagao Gallery in Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau until May 21.

The exhibition, which follows “Colour Lusofonia” and “Lusografia”, celebrates the first anniversary of the gallery, according to a recent Artyzen statement.

Most of the artists are locals, the statement noted, adding that it is a “fitting symbol” for the promise made a year ago to the arts and the local community.

The works on display include paintings, sculptures, mixed media, and ceramics. Featured artists include Alexandre Marreiros, Alice Ieong, Carlos Marreiros, Lai Sio Kit, Konstantin Bessmertny, Lio Man Cheong, and Raquel Gralheiro. Australia-born local artist Denis Murrell, a prominent painter in Macau’s art and culture scene, is also featured, the statement pointed out.

Murrell, the statement noted, is a key player in promoting Macau’s artists and art institutions and has 28 years of experience in the city under his artistic belt.

The statement quoted Area Vice President – Macau Operations for Artyzen Hospitality Group Rutger Verschuren as saying: “Our collaboration with Amagao Gallery Exhibition expresses our shared commitment to the promotion of arts and culture in Macau, as well as our mutual passion for supporting international and Macau artists”.

The gallery is managed by Galeria 57 Macau Limitada.

The gallery is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. It is closed on Mondays. Admission is free.
