The applications for the eight-week programme, co-organised by CYTS-Linkage Public Relations Consulting Company Limited, are being accepted through May 19, according to the press conference, which pointed out that the internships will take place in Beijing, Fuzhou, Hangzhou, Ji’an, Qingdao, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Xiamen, while the applications for the 12-week internship programme in Shanghai, co-organised Hero Sports Management Company Limited VSPO, will be accepted from May 22 through June 2.
The press conference underlined that the Labour Affairs Bureau will provide each intern with a living allowance of 5,000 yuan per month and a one-time round-trip transportation and travel insurance allowance ranging between 500 patacas and 4,000 patacas, adding that an accommodation allowance of 4,000 yuan per month will also be given to each intern by Hengqin’s Livelihood Affairs Bureau.
DSAL Vice Director Chan Un Tong said in a speech during the press conference that his bureau was looking forward to maintaining cooperation with Hengqin in the future by launching more youth employment projects in Macau, in order to retain more talent for the development of the city’s industries.
Fong Fong Tan, vice director of the Livelihood Affairs Bureau, said in a speech during the press conference she hoped that by adopting an industry-orientated approach, Macau youths would have more opportunities to intern in high-quality and well-established enterprises in the mainland, and at the same time expand their employment and development space.
According to Fong, in addition to cooperating with the Labour Affairs Bureau, her bureau will also join hands with the Macau Talent Development Committee and the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) to provide internship programmes for tertiary students.
