A local casino cage supervisor gave himself up to police on Monday as he had stolen chips worth HK$13 million from a casino where he worked, a spokesperson for the Judiciary Police (PJ) said during a special briefing yesterday.
The PJ spokesperson said the suspect, surnamed Cheung, is a 31-year-old local resident who had been working as a cage supervisor for three to four years for a junket operator.
According to the spokesperson, the suspect said he had stolen chips worth HK$2 million, HK$3 million, HK$4 million and HK$4 million from Friday to Sunday.
